Retention Management
The proof of a successful and prudent Ship Manager is to document the retention.
Based on the INTERTANKO formula, Elvictor has developed an online tool to retrieve with few clicks varying retentions depending on the Ship Manager’s Crew Department’s focus. Elvictor provides a retention tool to allow the Ship Manager to choose:
- Overall Fleet Retention. Meaning all the fleet, no matter the size, the vessel type, nationality, or other determinants.
- Vessel Type Retention. Some Principals have various types of vessels, and they may choose to see the retention in specific vessel types.
- Vessel Type Tonnage. Review the retention on specific vessel types.
- Specific Vessel Retention. Choosing a particular vessel to check the retention.
- Group of Vessels Retention. It is not the fleet, but specific vessels due to their vessel particulars that are grouped, and the Crew Department wants to see the retention of this group/fleet of vessels.
- Nationalities Retention. Identifying per rank the retention per rank.
- Rank Retention. Out of the overall pool of seafarers, no matter the nationality, to see the rank retention statistics.
- Charterer Retention. Selected vessels with long-time charters with specific Oil Majors or Charterers are grouped, and the retention is specialized to this group/fleet of vessels.
- Department Retention. Overview of Deck Senior Officers, Deck Junior Officers, Engine Senior Officers, Engine Junior Officers, Senior Ratings and Junior Ratings, and at last the Galley Department.
- Choose time frames.
Elvictor has also developed customized reports for specific companies on the templates that some of their Charterers requested.
The formulas and the information are live, and any potential change in any seafarer’s status dynamically brings the recent result of retention.
