Elvictor Group, as the first employers’ company of Georgian seafarers and Cadets, with more than 1,300 seafarers onboard each day, expanded this cooperation by establishing the “QualShip Georgia Maritime Training Center” (QGMTC) in Batumi, offering a world-class maritime education.
During the inauguration ceremony, Ms. Tamara Ioseliani, Director of Maritime Transport Agency of Georgia, presented the certification of the Training Center together with the approval for STCW courses.
The training center works as a hub for maritime professional training for all the Eastern European nationalities.
The training center facilities and equipment are state-of-the-art. Training is up-to-date, following current industry regulations, and the faculty comprises exceptional instructors and highest-ranking professionals.
The Bridge Simulator provides close-to-actual ship handling and maneuvering experience developing their competence in watch-keeping, situational awareness, safety, communication, decision-making, leadership, Ship To Ship operations, and Ice Navigation.
The Liquid Cargo Handling Simulator is an advanced training solution for officers at the operational and management levels to operate Charging / Discharging / Transferring for different vessels and products as Oil / Product / Chemical Tankers and LPG / LNG carriers.
The Engine Room Simulator can simulate all machinery operations conducted in a modern UMS class Oil and Product Tankers, propelled by a MAN B&W 6S60MC, the cam-less Electronic Engines, the MAN B&W 11S90ME, and different types of pumps.
The GMDSS and ECDIS/ARPA/RADAR simulators comply with STCW Convention, ISM Code requirements and offer classroom training for all ECDIS makers.
More than 100 in-house and STCW courses are offered in the classroom or by distance to all Eastern European seafarers.
